1984 National Championship
editIf you go on the University of Washington Huskies website and select a virtual tour of Husky stadium, you will notice that they only recognize TWO teams as national champions. The 1960 and 1991 teams are recognized as national champions on the south side of the stadium. This is where I get my source to ONLY put the 1960 and 1991 teams as national champions. The latest Media Guide shows four teams as receiving recognition as champions but the stadium only list TWO. Again that is the reason I keep changing the designation of the 1984 team from national to just Orange Bowl champions. sullivan9211 (talk) 07:25, 17 January 2018 (CST)

National championship selection by The Football News
editI'm searching for the original source document in which the 1984 Washington team was selected as national champions by The Football News. Assume this would be in a January 1985 issue of the paper, with possible previous coverage in December 1984. Any help appreciated. PK-WIKI (talk) 18:48, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
